Vectra Bank Colorado is on the lookout for a dynamic Market President, Community Banking Sales Leader to lead a team of Commercial and Business Bankers in the Colorado Springs area. This role involves partnering with the local Community Bank team and driving departmental goals with a proactive approach, alongside the following responsibilities.
What are we looking for?
Oversees a team of Commercial and Business Banking Relationship Managers handling a portfolio of commercial and business banking accounts. Provides functional guidance to subordinate officers. Responsible for generating and managing a diverse range of commercial loans and portfolios. Actively seeks and secures high-quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross-selling efforts. Requires expertise in applicant interviewing, character assessment, loan structuring, credit analysis, and credit performance monitoring. Focuses on building and maintaining relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Advises top management on long-term strategic planning. Acts as a key spokesperson in their field of expertise. Utilizes strong interpersonal skills to motivate employees and influence senior management. Financial responsibilities include creating and maintaining business loans, particularly mid-to-large loans that may be complex. Regularly interacts with internal and external clients on high-level and sensitive matters, as well as routine issues. May take on lead or consulting roles. Provides excellent customer service through clear communication, approachability, and expert knowledge of all processes.
This position is responsible for:
· Will oversees commercial and business banking relationship managers, addressing customers' business needs and strategies.
· Provides financial counseling, advice, and expertise in complex loan structuring and strategic business planning.
· Meets clients' needs by cross-selling suitable products and creating a value-driven package of products and services using a comprehensive range of bank services.
· Cultivates new relationships both internally and externally.
· Approves and/or recommends loan packages within designated limits.
· Manages the credit portfolio, ensuring acceptable credit quality and loan profitability.
· Continuously updates personal knowledge of bank products and services, as well as relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
· A bachelor's degree is required, along with at least 4 years of experience in credit-associated lending or 7 years of directly related experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
· Demonstrates expert and comprehensive application of principles, theories, and concepts in the relevant field, with extensive knowledge of related areas.
· Possesses expert knowledge in credit-associated lending, financial strategy, and customer development.
· Will have significant experience in Commercial and Business Banking Credit Analysis and presentations.
· Exhibits keen character judgment.
· Expert in expanding client relationships and increasing product sales.
· Highly skilled in sales.
· Capable of structuring loans and monitoring credit performance for both self and team.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Advanced understanding of applicable lending policies, procedures, laws, and regulations.
· Proficient in software applications, including word processing and spreadsheets.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $140,000 - $200,000 annually depending on job-related factors. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as but not limited to, level of experience, skills, expertise, location, education, and certifications.
