Zions Bancorporation is currently accepting applications for a Operational Analyst, Tax Operations located in Utah or remote in AZ, CA, CO, ID, NV, or TX. 

The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience necessary to:

  • Work with various business users to review and analyze operational and business data, programs, processes, procedures, systems and make recommendations for improvements and changes to drive business performance. '
  • Perform business and operational analysis to impact business results and support management decision making.
  • Perform and participate in the analysis, design and implementation of operational business processes and procedures.
  • Present and share data with other team members and departments.
  • Investigate and understand diverse areas of the business and operation, supporting initiatives and communicates findings.
  • Be responsible for creating and monitoring reports to identify trends, issues and opportunities.
  • Be responsible for issue and root cause analysis.
  • Use business data to formulate proposals for new procedures and/ or processes.
  • Act as a liaison with subsidiary management and staff to resolve issues as needed.
  • Perform project management functions as a project manager or team member.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related field and some experience in business and data analysis, processes, procedures, multiple technologies, etc or other directly related experience.
  • Experience SQL, Excel, and/or other business intelligence and analytics software and query tools.
  • A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis, business process and procedure improvement, systems and project techniques.
  • Knowledge of department specific processes and procedures.
  • Requires solid analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to elicit, gather and analysis user needs.
  • Good presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to function in a consultative role and manage a team or project.
  • Requires solid interpersonal skills with the ability to work with both management and staff employees.
  • Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of query tools such as Business Objects, Microsoft Access or other tools to extract information from databases.
  • Working knowlege of report writing software.

Pay range (depending on experience): $45,000 - $65,000
